Dulacca State School is a small rural school found west of Miles situated on the Warrego Highway in the Darling Downs South West Region. For over one hundred years the Dulacca State School has been one of the pivots of the Dulacca community. It boasts one of the finest multipurpose courts in the district and has an established forestry plot planted in conjunction with Landcare and DPI&F.
The school consists of a main building block that accommodates two classrooms, a computer room, staffroom, two offices and a resource room. Downstairs under the building there is a covered play area, a cleaner’s room and store room and a sports room with an array of sporting equipment for all students.
Through the Federal Government’s ‘Building Revolution’ program we now have a new modular Library building. There is a separate toilet block, an adventure playground and two ovals and a separate tuckshop which operates each Wednesday, run by volunteer parents.
At Dulacca staff currently consist of: a Teaching Principal, a second teacher, a contract teacher, two teacher aides, an administration officer, ground person and cleaner, all committed to providing excellent learning experiences for all students. We also have visiting PE, Music and LOTE teachers and learning support staff. Students enjoy a very high level of success in sporting events and the school has a positive culture of encouraging all forms of physical exercise.
Dulacca State School has a very active P&C who work together with staff to provide improved outcomes and resources for all students.
